Murrayville-Woodson EAS auction in two weeks

The Murrayville-Woodson Emergency Ambulance Service is raising funds via a consignment auction coming up March 2nd. Residents are being asked to place items in the auction to help collect money for the non-profit organization. The consigner takes home the auctioned price of the item, while the auctioneers donate their commission. MWEAS Spokesman Steve Lankin says the Murrayville-Woodson EAS is a completely volunteer organization with most of their yearly funds coming from this auction. Subscriptions, donations, and memorials make up the rest of EAS’s income.

This year marks the 26th edition of the EAS auction. The deadline for submitting items into the auction is March 1st. If you would like your items advertised in print, the deadline is next Wednesday.

For more information on the event, including a drawing for a 4-wheel drive Gator ATV, visit www.mweas.com or call the EAS office at 217-882-3114.
