Illinois State Police troopers say 44-year-old Michael Brogdon was traveling southbound on Bobbitt Lane just south of Perbix Road when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve. The vehicle went off the roadway and overturned. Troopers say Brogdon was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Brogdon was taken to Passavant Area Hospital before being airlifted to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield where he remains in critical condition.
