New Berlin man's death results in homicide charge
Sangamon County State’s Attorney John Milhiser charged 27-year-old Gary Clark of Springfield with drug-induced homicide in the death of 43-year-old Daniel Buehrle after he overdosed from heroine allegedly sold to him by Clark.
Clark pleaded not guilty on Monday.
The incident allegedly happened in the Southwind Park section of Springfield on October 28th of last year.
Milhiser says Clark faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted. He’s also facing a secondary charge of delivery of a controlled substance. Clark is facing two other counts of delivery of a controlled substance from an unrelated case.
