Two teens land in jail for aggravated battery arrests

Illinois State Police arrested 17-year-old Taran Brobst of Manchester today for aggravated battery, resisting a peace officer, disorderly conduct, possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. She was booked at the Morgan County Jail at 2:15.

Morgan County Deputy Chief Mike Carmody says Brobst is being charged as an adult.

Illinois State Police say Brobst was arrested at her residence in Manchester on an initial call of disorderly conduct. The aggravated battery charge stems from contact she made with the arresting officer.

Brobst remains in custody.
