A second fatal accident has been reported in Greene County in less than a 24-hour period.
Illinois State Police say 23-year-old Derek Buhl of Murrayville was killed in a single-vehicle accident on County Route 1700 North near the intersection with County Road 1750 North, a rural section of the county about five miles west of Greenfield.
The accident reportedly happened at around 10:00 last night.
State police say Buhl’s vehicle was northbound when it struck a culvert, spun into it and caught fire. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Greene County Coroner. The Greenfield Fire Department responded.
