A Downtown Jacksonville bar was vandalized this morning.

The owner of Good Time Doc’s informed Jacksonville Police at around 9:30 a.m. that his business had been broken into.

Lieutenant Sean Walker confirmed that someone broke down the door, cut open the bar’s ATM machine and stole the money inside.

Walker says officers have been searching for the suspect at local hotels since the report was made.

“We went out there just to see if anyone checked out this morning. Good Time Doc’s has video of the person. It is enough that if we saw a video of somebody somewhere then we think we might be able to connect them and get a name.”

Nothing else inside the business was touched. The bar was empty during the robbery.

Walker says the suspect is still on the loose. A description of the burglar has yet to be released to the public. The situation is under investigation.
