Chandlerville man arrested on charges of alleged attempted murder

A Cass County man remains locked up following his arrest on charges of alleged attempted murder.

Information regarding the incident is scarce at this point, however according to police reports, 62-year old Jimmy Johnson, of the 100 block of West Illini in Chandlerville, was booked at the Morgan County jail at around 10 p.m. last night for attempted murder, aggravated battery and mob action.

Along with Johnson, reports claim Virginia Police arrested a second subject, 24-year old Jeremiah Johnson, also of the 100 block of West Illini in Chandlerville a short time later at around 11:30 p.m. for alleged mob action.

The 62-year old Jimmy Johnson faces charges of alleged attempted murder, aggravated battery and mob action and currently remains in custody at the Morgan County jail on $20,000 bond.

Twenty-four year old Jeremiah Johnson faces a charge of alleged mob action. He also remains behind bars at the Morgan County jail on $2,000 bond.
