Court date set for man accused aggravated criminal sexual abuse

Additional information is surfacing in regards to an arrest last week involving alleged sexual abuse.

According to police reports, 40-year old Robert Bilbruck, of the one thousand block of Greenwood, was arrested by Jacksonville Police and booked at the Morgan County jail at around 3 p.m. Thursday a charge of alleged aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Jacksonville Police Lieutenant Doug Thompson says his department received a report regarding Bilbruck’s alleged actions, which subsequently led to an investigation from detectives with the JPD.

Thompson says after the investigation and questioning of Bilbruck, Jacksonville Police believed there was enough probably cause to make an arrest.

According to the Lieutenant, Bilbruck is alleged to have performed unwanted touching involving sexual contact to a female juvenile known to him. Thompson says the alleged incident took place approximately three months ago.

The age of the alleged victim is not being released at this time. Bilbruck has since bonded out of custody from the Morgan County jail and was given a court date for December 19th at 9 a.m.
