Crimestoppers of Morgan and Scott Counties are requesting information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their investigation of a recent residential burglary.
According to reports, sometime between 10 p.m. on March 25th and 8 p.m. on March 29th, someone entered a residence on Westwood Place and removed items and cash. Among the items taken were an Auto-Ordinance 1911, a .45-caliber handgun and a wooden glass case that was stored along with an antique water jug.
The firearm is stainless steel with gold accents with “Illinois National Rifle Association” inscribed on the hand guard.
The total value of the items and cash taken is over $3,000.
Anyone with more information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 243-7300. You will remain anonymous. A cash reward of up to $1-thousand will be paid for information leading to an arrest.
