Crimestoppers again looking for help with house burglary

The Crimestoppers of Morgan and Scott Counties “crime of the week” is again a residential burglary in Jacksonville.

The organization is seeking information to assist the city police department in their investigation of an incident that happened sometime between 3:45 and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1700  block of Mound Road.

Reports indicate someone removed jewelry, silverware and valuable coins valued at over $13,000.

This is the second week in a row a residential burglary has been the Crime of the Week. Someone reportedly entered in apartment in the 300 block of West College and stole $13-hundred worth of items.

The police are asking that anyone who has information concerning this incident or any other crimes within the two-county area submit a tip online by going to and clicking the blue button on the home page.
