An economic development professional with 30 years of experience in the field has been selected to take over the Jacksonville Regional Economic Development Corporation.

Paul Ellis will begin his duties as President starting next month, taking over for the retired Terry Denison.

According to information from JREDC, Ellis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and is completing the process to be designated a Certified Economic Developer through the International Economic Development Council.

Ellis comes to Jacksonville after two decades with Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber, where he, among many responsibilities, coordinated a regional public private transportation partnership.
