A memorial is being planned for this weekend in Jacksonville to honor the victims of the weekend shooting in Orlando, Florida.
Organizer Vicki Prillmayer tells the Jacksonville Journal-Courier she wants to hold a moment of silence for the shooting victims and their families, and to ask people to contact federal lawmakers to urge them to pass legislation that will ban so-called assault weapons.
The rally will be near the Ferris wheel at Community Park on Saturday at 10 a-m.
