For the second time this year, a pair of individuals from Exeter are behind bars for methamphetamine related offenses.

Back in April, Scott County Deputies arrested 35-year-old Dereka Eyrse and 38-year-old William McDade during a meth bust.

Scott County State’s Attorney Michael Hill says the raid operation involved the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, West Central Illinois Drug Task Force, the Central Illinois Enforcement Group and Illinois State Police Meth Response Team.

Eyrse and McDade were arrested at the residence after agents recovered paraphernalia associated with an active meth lab, finished meth in powder form, scales, bags, pseudophedrine pills and liquid meth.

A minor child was inside the residence.

On Sunday, Eyrse and McDade, who were free on bond, were picked up by Scott County Deputies after failing to fulfill conditions of their bond.

Hill explains…

“We filed a motion to revoke or increase their bond, because they didn’t fulfill some conditions of their bond. The most important one was that there was some methamphetamine found in their residence. Based on that, we decided to revoke the bond. They are sitting in jail right now in Greene County,” says Hill.

Hill filed an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia for Eyrse and McDade, who are scheduled to appear in Scott County Court for a hearing at 2 p.m. today.
