Four named to Passavant Foundation Board

Four community leaders have been elected to serve on the Passavant Area Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees by the hospital’s Board of Directors.

They are Steve Turner, Owner/Agent of Turner Insurance; Lisa Musch, Newspaper in Education Coordinator at the Jacksonville Journal-Courier; Alban Haxhinasto, Operation Services Manager for The Farmers State Bank and Trust Company; and Frank Cummings a retired Delta Dental executive.

Officers for 2014 include Dr. Keith Lape, president; Linda Donovan, vice president of stewardship and gifts; Ron Tendick, vice president of nominations; Mary

Fergurson, secretary; and Steve Turner, treasurer. Other trustees include: Ginny Fanning, Hobart Hinderliter, Gilbert Joehl, Gary Scott and Jan Terry.

Established one year ago, the Passavant Foundation works to expand donor engagement and demonstrate how philanthropy plays a key role in providing quality healthcare at Passavant Hospital.

Unrestricted gifts for “Greatest Need” in 2013 totaled $145,000 and were applied toward the purchase of a new CT scanner in the Emergency Department. Other designated gifts funded important programs and departments such as Cardiac Rehab, ICCU, Wound Center, Lifeline, Chaplain’s Fund, and nursing scholarships.
