The second annual Illinois College Diversity Week will feature a campus-wide series of events highlighting different aspects of diversity.
Running from Monday through Friday, there will be events that celebrate diversity from an art exhibit to speeches to discussions on interracial dating and much more.
On Monday, students can stop by the Stereotype and NOH8 tables from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Stereotype Table is for people to discuss labels put on people, which will be compiled and displayed. It will also be up Tuesday and Wednesday at the same time.
The NOH8 Table will talk about promotion of marriage, gender and human equality through education, advocacy social media and visual protest.
On Thursday, Illinois College continues its Convocation Series focusing on human trafficking. That’s from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sibert Theatre and includes a documentary and an expert panel.
There will be also be a multicultural reading contest, a discussion on interracial dating and feminism, a fair trade market, diversity show and an art exhibit.
