Jacksonville Main Street is a quarterfinalist in a national contest to win a $25,000 grant.

The non-profit is in the Independent We Stand “America’s Main Streets” contest. Jacksonville Main Street plans to do maintenance to ten “Wall Dog” murals in downtown Jacksonville if it wins the grant.

Twenty-five non-profit organizations are in the quarterfinals, which is determined by voting, including two others in Illinois: Main Street Libertyville, and Sterling Main Street.

Semifinalist voting begins today at MainStreetContest.com and runs through May 29th. The winner of the contest will be announced June 3rd.
