Jacksonville Police receive report of stolen vehicle

UPDATE AS OF 2/16/2018 5:28 P.M:

The Jacksonville Police Department have found the missing vehicle that was reported stolen earlier this morning.

The 2006 blue Ford Focus was found legally parked in an Aldi’s parking lot without damage. The car was found locked.

According to police, they received a call around 6:30 this morning. The family reported that their son’s vehicle was stolen sometime overnight from the 600 block of East Douglas.

JPD have processed the Ford Focus and have returned the car to the family.

Local authorities received a report of a stolen vehicle early this morning.

The Jacksonville Police Department received a call right around 6:30 a.m. today in which the caller reported that their son’s vehicle had been stolen.

According to police reports, the caller stated that the vehicle was unlawfully taken from the 600 block of East Douglas some time overnight.

Information regarding the alleged incident, including the make and model of the vehicle, have yet to be disclosed at this time.

The alleged incident currently remains under investigation by Jacksonville Police.
