January was an average month weather-wise in Jacksonville.

The WLDS-WEAI recording station received three-quarters of an inch of precipitation from 6.2 inches of snow. Our two big snow events were on January 10th, when we received two-and-a-half inches, and three inches on January 20th. We normally get about five-and-a-half inches of snow in January.

Our average temperature was 28.9 degrees, which is about two-and-a-half degrees above normal.
