A Jacksonville man remains in custody facing half a dozen drug and firearm charges.

Thirty-six-year-old David Wilkerson of the 700 block of Hardin was picked up at his residence by Morgan County Deputies at around 10:45 last night.

Deputy Derek Suttles says two handguns were located in Wilkerson’s home along with multiple suspected drugs, including five cannabis plants, a small amount of ecstasy, LSD, and 50 to 60 psilocybin mushrooms. Several hundred rounds of ammunition were also allegedly recovered.

Suttles says Wilkerson is a convicted felon and did not have a FOID card.

Wilkerson was arrested for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition, possession of a controlled substance, manufacture or delivery of controlled substances, production of cannabis, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Suttles says the arrest was made after an ongoing investigation by the sheriff’s office.

Wilkerson is being held without bond pending a hearing.
