The fourth annual festival will run next weekend from Friday through Sunday in Rammelkamp Chapel, highlighting the rich heritage of music in the Jacksonville community with three concerts.
Acclaimed jazz pianist and signer Justin Binek, local bassist Rob Killam and drummer Mark McKnight will perform several jazz classics and instrumentals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Award wining classical pianist Stephen Beus, who performed with the Jacksonville Symphony in 2012, will grace the stage Saturday with a solo piano recital at 7:30 p.m.
The final performance on Sunday will be a lighter fare featuring Beus, Illinois College faculty and some local guest musicians beginning at 3 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public. For more information on the festival go online to www.ic.edu/ehmf.
