A Morgan County road improvement project will receive part of a $4.5 million capital investment through Governor Pat Quinn’s Illinois Jobs Now! capital construction program.

interstate 72 will be patched at various locations for its entire length through Morgan County by G. M. Sipes Construction, Incorporated of Rushville, the lowest of three bidders, at just under $190,000. Sipes Construction will also do patch work on I-72 into Sangamon County east to the Interstate 72/55 interchange for about $160,000.
