Illinois College President Dr. Barbara Farley will conclude her nationwide Presidential Tour Friday at IC’s annual Osage Orange Festival.

Sponsored by the Illinois College Alumni Association, the Osage Orange Festival, which began in 1882, has grown in recent years with entertainment and activities for all ages.

Free supervised inflatable games will be offered for children in Memorial Gymnasium as the bluegrass band “The Harmans” provides musical entertainment.

Meals will also be served at the event including pulled pork, chicken sandwiches, grilled corn on the cob and much more. Meals are $11 for adults, $6 for children ages 5-12 and free for children four and younger.

Farley traveled a total of 17,880 miles to 13 cities throughout the U.S to meet Illinois College alumni, parents and friends during her inaugural year as IC’s 14 president.

The event is from 6-8:30 p.m. on the Steuer Walkway.
