No injuries following a fire at a Murrayville trailer

No one was injured following a trailer caught fire Wednesday in Murrayville.

According to authorities, local fire crews responded to 588 South Smokey Lane shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday after reports came in regarding flames being seen coming from inside of a trailer.

Reports from the Murrayville Fire Department say that flames could be seen rushing out of the walls of the living room when firefighters first arrived at the scene.

Leonard White Jr. is the owner of the trailer. Authorities say White Jr. was inside when the fire started but was able to safely exit the structure.

Crew remained on the scene for a little more than two hours, eventually extinguishing the blaze and leaving the scene before 6:30 p.m.

Responding agencies included Murrayville firefighters, who were assisted by deputies from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, as well as crews from the Woodson Fire Department.

Initial investigative reports point to electrical issues as the cause of the fire. As for the damage inflicted by the fire, monetary estimates have yet to be disclosed by authorities.
