Police arrest suspect in relation to alleged stabbing incident last week

A number of law enforcement agencies worked together to make an arrest of a suspect alleged of committing a stabbing in Jacksonville last week.

According to reports from the Jacksonville Police Department, authorities had been investigating an alleged stabbing that occurred last Wednesday afternoon that left a 17-year old male juvenile hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

According to a report from Jacksonville Police Lieutenant Doug Thompson, police were able to identify an alleged suspect during the course of the investigation. Reports say that local officers were able to secure an arrest warrant for 19-year old Katrina Wallace.

In the report from local authorities, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshall Service, the Springfield Police Department and the Morgan County State’s Attorney’s office, Wallace was located in Springfield and arrested without incident.
