The power went out this morning for about 500 Ameren customers and the WLDS/WEAI radio station.
Ameren spokesperson Marcelyn Love spoke with WLDS/WEAI about a pair of outages that took place in Jacksonville.
Love says the first outage, which occurred at around 11 a.m., was the result of a “ground wire” coming dislodged and flopping into a higher voltage line.
While in the process of making repairs, Love says another wire broke and caused the outage at the WLDS/WEAI radio station.
Love says power was restored to customers in the Jacksonville area by around 12:30 p.m.
