Two area citizens were hospitalized with injuries following a single-vehicle crash in Scott County late last week.

According to reports from Illinois State Police District 20, the single-vehicle accident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. last Thursday.

Preliminary investigative reports from State Police indicate that 34-year old Kurt Graham was driving a White 2003 Ford truck traveling eastbound on Winchester-Woodson Road near Blackburn Road when the crash occurred. Authorities say that as Graham’s truck approached Blackburn Road, the vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway and flipped over multiple times before coming to a stop.

As a result of the crash, Graham and another passenger in the vehicle, 31-year old Amanda Reardon, were transported by a private vehicle to Passavant Area Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Illinois State Police reports say that neither Graham nor Reardon were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Assisting state troopers during the incident were deputies from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
