Severe storms swept through West Central Illinois last night, dropping almost four tenths of an inch of rain.
There were reports of hail from a trained spotter in Beardstown but Jacksonville seemed to miss the worst of the storms. Those to the north and south were not as lucky. Some areas saw tornadic activity that claimed at least one life in Ottawa Illinois to the north.
