A four million dollar budget proposal will be voted on at tonight’s South Jacksonville board of trustees meeting.
Budget discussions include nearly three million dollars of anticipated revenues and about two million dollars in capital improvements.
Other topics at tonight’s meeting include preparing safety measures for the upcoming events being held at Nichols Park during the Fourth of July celebration.
Board members will discuss the best possible traffic flow for the firework show Friday and other safety operation for the weekend.
The board will also present their annual consumer confidence report, which explains the status of the public water supply for the village.
An appropriations public hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. to go over concerns regarding the budget proposal before it is voted on during the regularly scheduled meeting.
