This is one computer models snow forecast for tonight. It indicates most of us will see 3 to 5 inches of snow with locally higher amounts possible.

It’s going to be a snowy start to 2014.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire WLDS-WEAI listening area for three to five inches of the white stuff. Meteorologists say the snow should start flying early this evening and continue through the overnight hours. The snow should diminish just before sunrise Thursday.

The snow will be followed by bitterly cold air with a low of -2 expected on Thursday night. Wind chill values Thursday night and Friday morning could be as cold as -12.
