A Virginia man remains behind bars after allegedly entering a house and threatening to kill someone overnight.
Thirty-three-year-old Michael Rogers was booked at the Morgan County Jail at 4:30 a.m. for home invasion after Virginia Police Chief Tom Osmer says he entered a residence through the front door and threatened bodily harm against the 19-year-old son of a woman living there.
It’s not clear what motivated Rogers to allegedly make those threats. The son of the resident apparently fled the house after having hidden. Osmer says Rogers chased after him but was unable to catch up to the man. Rogers was eventually arrested elsewhere in Virginia.
He apparently did not have any weapons and was by himself when the incident allegedly occurred.
Osmer says the case has been turned over to the Cass County State’s Attorney.
