Winchester’s Old School Museum seeking WWI artifacts

The Old School Museum in Winchester is gearing up for its fourth season.

The Scott County history museum will open April 18th. The museum features exhibits about local education, businesses, agriculture, and technology. This coming season the museum will feature a special display about World War I. Museum officials would like to add to their display featuring items about local soldiers.

They welcome any additions the community would be interested in loaning them. If you would like to display any items related to “The Great War,” please contact Wilson Newman at 217-473-5519 or by email at wnewmanosm@gmail.com.

Old School Museum is located at 110 E Cherry in Winchester. It will open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sundays, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. from mid-April through to mid-November.
