Illinois College will welcome its newest class of inductees into the Sports Hall of Fame next month.
Nine people make up the class. The list includes long-time trainer Terry Geirnaeirt , Jacksonville police chief Adam Mefford, and 2011 NCAA slam dunk champion Jacob Tucker.
Mefford was a standout in baseball and football. His name appears repeatedly in the IC baseball record book.
The other inductees are baseball standout Adam Baran, high jumper Dillon Binkley, soccer standout David Isham, two sport star Jo Lehmkuhl in basketball and softball, football running back Conrad Noll the third, and volleyball star Joana Ramsey.
The induction banquet will be March 24th at Cummings Dining Hall at the Caine Student Center. Tickets are $20.
