North Greene will welcome a new head football coach, who has coached at two other nearby schools

Barry Creviston takes over for Tony Rhoades. Rhoades resigned this winter as head football coach. After a 9 and 3 record two years ago, North Greene won 3 games over the past two season under Rhoades.

Creviston was once head coach at Routt, before moving on to Johnsburg and then New Berlin. He left New Berlin after a DUI arrest.

Creviston has had success at nearly every stop of his high school coaching career. He posted a 3 and 15 mark at Litchfield in two season there. He, then was 42-20 at Routt over 4 seasons, 12-18 at Johnsburg but an 8-4 record his first year, and 22-18 at New Berlin.

Lost in the weekend state big schools tournament and NCAA tournament was news that two JHS basketball players made all state.

Seniors Brandon McCombs and Brady Hays received honorable mention all state by the Associated Press. They along with JHS senior James White will play in the Country Financial West Central Illinois All Star Classic Friday night at the Bowl.

They will be coached by former JHS head coach Sean Taylor, who returns to the Bowl to coach the South Squad.
