A Jacksonville High School graduate has been inducted into a college hall of fame.
Mia Perry was named to the Parkland College Hall of Fame this past weekend for her accomplishments on the volleyball court. The ceremony was held Saturday.
Perry helped lead the Parkland College team to the 1999 Junior College volleyball national championship. It was the school’s first ever national title. She was named all American, all region and all conference that year.
Perry attended Parkland after an all-state career at Jacksonville High School, where she was a force on the front line. Perry helped lead JHS to an elite eight finish at the state tournament her senior year in 1997.
