Alleged aggravated robbery leaves woman with non-life-threatening injuries

A local woman received non-life-threatening injuries after an alleged aggravated robbery this morning.

According to a press release from the Jacksonville Police Department, local officers responded to a call regarding a possible aggravated robbery at around 5:30 this morning. Authorities say the alleged incident took place in the 500 block of West College.

The female victim told local police that the alleged incident occurred near the intersection of West College and Fayette. According to authorities, the female victim reported that she was approached by one Caucasian male and one African-American male. The victim claims that the two men forcefully took cash from her before fleeing in the direction of West State Street on foot.

In reports to Jacksonville Police, the victim stated that one of the suspects was wearing all black clothing and the other suspect was wearing black pants with a white t-shirt.

As a result of the alleged incident, the female victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was assessed by Emergency Medical Personnel on the scene.
