Information on an altercation that took place between two people in Roodhouse is being released.

According to Roodhouse Chief of Police Kyle Robison, at approximately 2 a.m. on October 26, an officer was dispatched to an alley between State and South Morse in Roodhouse.

Robison says his officer immediately rendered aid to an injured male subject, who was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Officers interviewed both parties involved and witnesses in the area. It is believed that the altercation between the two males stemmed from the passing of a family member of another male who was not involved in the physical altercation.

The investigation has been turned over to Greene County State’s Attorney Caleb Briscoe for review. The names of the individuals involved have not been released at this time.
