The energy provider was singled out for its ability to update customers about power restoration status and showcase its commitment to community development and charitable giving through effective use of social media.
Ameren Illinois’ social media presence includes more than 40,000 Facebook subscribers and 18,000 Twitter followers. The company utilizes social media to address customer’s needs and answer questions about storm response, billing, safety and energy efficiency.
