An expert from PBS’ Antiques Roadshow is returning to Jacksonville to offer his appraising services at no charge.

Mark Moran will host a program similar to the popular show from 1-4 p.m. today at the Jacksonville Public Library

Assistant Library Director Hillary Peppers says last year’s event was extremely popular. With 46 people registered for free appraisals, Peppers expect another successful program.

“He kind of tours the country. He has been in a lot of different libraries. People have brought dolls, baby clothes, pieces of art and a lot of pottery,” says Peppers.

Peppers says a set of silk scarves was the “shocking” appraisal last year and hopes to continue this service for years to come.
