A Jacksonville man has been arrested in connection to a shooting incident on November 15th.

Twenty-two-year-old Gerald Jackson of the 700 block of North Diamond was arrested at his residence at around 5:00 last night after the Jacksonville Police Department Special Response Team executed a search warrant at his residence, according to a press release.

Jackson reportedly had an outstanding warrant for probation violation.

He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver based on items found during the search warrant, and four counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance stemming from an October 2013 drug investigation.

Jackson was also arrested for aggravated discharge of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon stemming from a shooting that occurred in the 7-hndred block of North Diamond last month, according to police.

Also living at the residence and arrested was 23-year-old Marquise Jackson. He was picked up on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on drug charges. He was also booked at the Morgan County Jail on several traffic charges.

Both Marquise and Gerald Jackson remain in custody.
