The father of the baby found abandoned in a Jacksonville dumpster last August appeared in court this morning for a bond hearing.
Twenty-eight-year-old Quincy Stone, of the 500 block of North Clay, was arrested in April for aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He is accused of having sex with a girl who is now 17; she would have been 16 at the time.
Stone pled “not guilty” to the charges during his last hearing in Morgan County Court.
State’s Attorney Bobby Bonjean agreed for bond to be reduced to $20,000, with 10 percent to apply. In cooperation with the deal, Stone must follow several conditions if he posts bond.
Bonjean explained that Stone must be placed in home detention and have no contact with individuals under 18 years old, unless they are family members.
The deal allows Stone to seek employment and visit the office of his attorney, if approval is given by the Morgan County Probation Department.
Stone’s next court date is set for June 3rd.
