An arrest has been made in connection with the murder of Marcus Jackson, which took place in Jacksonville on October 24th.
Nineteen-year-old Avery Berry of Jacksonville, who is being charged with three counts of first-degree murder, was picked up in the St. Louis area by U.S. Marshals, according to Jacksonville Police Lieutenant Rodney Cox.
Police say the Marshals, who have been assisting with the search for Berry, notified the JPD of the arrest at around 4 p.m.
In a press release, Cox says Berry will remain in custody in Missouri until he can appear before a judge for extradition.
