The Jacksonville Public Schools Foundation has started a new campaign to put instruments in the hands of students.

The Play It Forward Campaign is calling out to community members in possession of an instrument they currently aren’t using. By donating that instrument, campaign members hope to improve the ever growing music program at District 117.

There is an immediate need of clean, gently used, playable instruments, due to the fact that District 117 has currently loaned out all of the currently owned instruments.

All donated instruments and cash donations are tax deductible and can be dropped off from 9-3 p.m. at 516 Jordan Street.
