A District 117 board member has achieved Master Board Member status.
Steve Cantrell, who has completed more than 675 credit hours as a board member, was informed of the distinguished honor during the District 117 special meeting on Wednesday.
According to a press release, the Illinois Association of School Boards felt Cantrell exemplified “the life-long learning we hope all board members model for students and community.”
Cantrell will be presented an award on October 22nd during the Two Rivers Division Fall Dinner Meeting at Hamilton’s.
