Thirty-two-year-old Sarah Yakus, born in Jacksonville, served as a math teacher at Glenwood Middle School for the past eight years and was recently promoted to assistant principal at Glenwood Elementary.
Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards says the cause of Yakus’ death,which occurred on Saturday, is still under investigation.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at Auburn Methodist Church.
