Jacksonville aldermen passed the first reading of two ordinances earlier this month that would allow more backyard chickens and for people to drive golf carts on the street.

A second reading on both items will be introduced during the Planning and Public Works committee report.

As for the Parks and Lakes committee, aldermen will discuss amending fees for Lake Jacksonville, a pair of HVAC units for the Nichols Park Pavilion and a change on the construction services for Lake Jacksonville concession stand and bath house modifications.

Aldermen will also review a joint agreement with IDOT for the Morton Avenue project.

The action starts with a Workshop at 6:30 in the Jacksonville Municipal Building.

A resolution approving payment for inspecting and repairing collector well pumps from the Waterworks and Sewerage Project fund is also on the agenda.
