On The Rox in Jacksonville will host a night of comedy next month to benefit the Crisis Center Foundation.

Executive Director Dona Leanard says the annual Comedy Night event on March 4th is the Crisis Center’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Leanard says shows over the past nine years have been very successful.

“Our first couple years went really well. We have since added a silent and live auction. Our talent has been great from around the area. We have built up to where we are getting talent from farther away. Last year we had a few people from the St. Louis area.”

Troy Davis will headline the evening of comedy. Kathy Zeman, Buddah Eskew, Tim Laffey and Jeff Tolbert will also take the stage.

Leanard says the Comedy Night raises around $4,000 to $5,000 each year to support victims of domestic violence and their children in Morgan, Cass, Scott and Greene Counties.

Doors open at 6 p.m., the auction starts at 7 p.m. and the comedy starts at 7:30 p.m.
