A local Republican State Representative is receiving support from one of the state’s largest pro-life organizations.

As the March Primary elections nears closer, State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer of Jacksonville is gaining an endorsement from the Illinois Citizens for Life, which utilizes social work, education and lobbying to promote their belief in defending human life from conception to natural death.

According to a press release, Illinois Citizens for Life Chairman Ralph Rivera penned a letter of endorsement to Davidsmeyer, praising the Representative for his commitment to protecting the pro-life principles of the organization.

In the letter, River pointed to Davidsmeyer’s “100% pro-life voting record since coming to the Illinois House of Representatives in 2012,” and the fact that the local Representative has “been a co-sponsor of a number of pro-life bills and an advocate for Life.”

Davidsmeyer, whose political stance includes a strong commitment to pro-life and pro-family values, says that in 2017, he “spoke out and voted against liberal legislation which provides taxpayer-funded abortions on demand.” He goes on to say that he is still “working to repeal this horrific law and put a stop to taxpayer-funded abortions.”

Davidsmeyer serves as the State Representative for Illinois 100th legislative district, and will be on the ballot as voters head to the polls for the Republican Primary election on March 20th.
