West Central Illinois Congressman Rodney Davis is introducing a bill aimed at stopping the rising costs of college education.

Davis says the college bubble is bursting because of high student loans.

Now, he wants law makers to start focusing less on high interest rates and more on the root of the problem.

Davis tells our reporting partners at WICS ABC Newschannel 20 says he’s introducing a bill that will do that and more for those already stuck in debt.

“Allowing employers to help new employees, recent grads, pay down their student debt, and do it without having to tax those employees at the end of the year,” said Davis.

Davis says the bill has gotten tremendous support and will be pushed to congress this spring.
