The approval of District 117’s revised sales tax projections will be voted on during the monthly board meeting tonight.

Earlier this month, calculations for the amount of revenue sold from bonds jumped from $2.2 million a year to $2.65 million annually. That increased the total bond amount from $24 million to $32 million.

Other items on the agenda include a vote to accept the bids for roof replacements at South Elementary and Central Office.

District 117 opened bids for partial roof repairs last week. Henson Robinson Company was the lowest bidder for South at $121,810 and Meyer Roofing was the lowest bidder for Central Office at $54,500.

Board members will also vote on the approval of several policy adoptions for the district, such as suspension and expulsion procedures and details of the comprehensive health education program.

District 117 Treasurer Jamie Hadjan will be proposing that the board approve a pair of agenda items. Those items include the Health/Life/Safety amendment and prevailing wage resolution.

Superintendent Steve Ptacek will also provide updates on the Vision 117 process and the latest state developments impacting the school district.

The meeting gets underway at Jacksonville High School at 7 p.m.
