A former Dean of Illinois College has passed away at the age of 94 years old.
Dr. Iver Yeager, who served Illinois College for 30 years, retired in 1988, but maintained an active role with the college, according to a press release.
Yeager was a key contributor in developing the Khalaf Al Habtoor Archives, which contains artifacts, photographs and documents of regional, state and national significance. Illinois College recently named the archive storage facility in his honor.
Yeager was known for work as a Professor of Religion and Philosophy.
A memorial service for Dr. Yeager will be held at Rammelkamp Chapel this fall.
